"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."- St. Peter. "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." - Jesus.

We've arrived

Well we've hit Canadian soil. It feels kind of strange. I am not sure whether this is "normal" or not. We are definitely feeling weary of travel. I'm not sure how much of this is reverse culture shock or not, but our experiences traveling in Russia felt a lot smoother than in the west. In Finland the security gave us a real hard time over the numerous alleged "liquids" that we had in our carry ons. Apparently tooth paste, nappy cream etc count as liquids. Thankfully they some how missed that the Vegemite tube had more than 100g.
Then when we arrived in Canada they confiscated our reindeer jerky. Apparently it is ok to import fish but not meat. That was a bit of a shame.
Give me the Russian laxidaisical attitude any day of the week.

Melody had fun picking raspberries on our last full day in Finland.

Close to where we were staying in Finland there is a velodrome. We stuck our head in to watch a race and discovered that the interior is being used for American Football. It reminds me of the John Grisham book I just read "Playing for Pizza."

And now we're in the Great (White) North. "O Canada, you stole my reindeer jerky...."
