"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."- St. Peter. "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." - Jesus.

Relaxing in Finland

It's good to be back in Finland again. We remarked last time that Finland has a lot of similarities to Russia, except it is very clean, neat and tidy and everything works so smoothly.
I have really enjoyed the smell of freshly cut grass again (the grass rarely gets cut in Russia).
For the last couple days we have been down to the lake with our friends Merja and Veltsu, to simply relax and go for a swim.

I like the Finnish version of the beach. Lots of soft grass everywhere to lie down in and a nice cool lake to go swimming in. Look our for naked Finns changing before your eyes though. Ahh, culture.

We have picked up our plane tickets for our flight to Toronto with Finnair on Sunday. Today we have been working on an advocacy document for Siberian peoples, as we will drop into the office of our org in Ontario on Monday, and give them a spiel about recruiting people to Siberia.
It has been good to meet with some of our other Finnish friends, Riitta, Mika and Mikko. It has been very encouraging that they have genuinely been deeply interested in hearing our stories.

We will arrive in Saskatchewan on Tuesday. The next blog post will probably come from there.

So glad for you all that the travelling went smoothly. It's a very long way to come especially with the anxiety of luggage and transfers from train to plane and back again. The Finnish lake looks absolutely gorgeous and it must be so nice to just relax together and not have to think about packing up anymore. Enjoy and Godspeed for the next part of the journey.
