Baikit is 800 km north of Krasnoyarsk. In the Winter time you can drive there but it will take you 24 hours. Or you can fly at any time. The flight is a little less than two hours. Our tickets cost us $900 AUD for the family (PJ under 2 was still free), we got a discount, normally it would have been $1200 AUD.
We were so happy to fly on a new plane. Russia is always upgrading. I have flown on some pretty shaky planes in the past. The airline is new too, it's called Nord Star. They service much of the north in Russia.
