"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."- St. Peter. "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." - Jesus.

The wind is blowing

The wind of the Holy Spirit is blowing in our lives. A friend had earlier told me that when crisis hits your life, that it is important to look for the opportunity hidden within that crisis. Two weeks ago such a crisis hit us when our land lady asked us to move out. In contemplating our vision we revisited an invitation from a team we met in Krasnoyarsk back in February. This team is already working among Siberian Peoples and doing many of the things already on our heart. This was too good an opportunity to pass up now that we were forced to move out of out place in Novosibirsk. The full story is in our news letter. If you do not receive it and are interested then please let me know.
So after a week of exploring our options in Krasnoyarsk we are making the move. I will be studying at the Krasnoyarsk State University, and we will be living in Akademgorodok which is surrounded by forest and clean air. God has provided the most beautiful of apartments for us to move into. We will move here in September.
We have taken a lot of crazy steps of faith into thin air and God has not only caught us, but opened a huge door of opportunity for us and also blessed us with living conditions that we could never have imagined and are much better than what we have had in Novosibirsk. Now to return there and say goodbye to many of our friends there and ship our things by train. It will be sad to say goodbye, but we will not be too far away.

Our new building.

Our new supermarket.

Our new kitchen.

Our new forest for walking in and breathing clean air.

The squirrels are rather friendly.

It looks great - the kitchen is amazing for a Russian flat and will be the centre of your cosy home in true Russian style I suspect. Nearby forest is lovely and I'm sure will be the site for many a walk whatever the weather. We have a huge wild park at the end of our street, it's like another world once you step into it, the city forgotten.
