"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."- St. Peter. "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." - Jesus.

Cup o' tea

This is the traditional Russian tea cup. Tea once came from the traditional Russian Samovar. (I'll have to show you a photo of that another time.) Tradition is just that, and disappearing too. But the traditional tea cups can still be found on the train, although shock horror, the cup on the left has coffee in it!

By the look of the gold rim etc on the coffee-defiled cup, the interior glass may be detachable. is this correct?

Correct.
