Recording trip to Tuva

Well it's confirmed, I'm off on my third trip to Tuva this Saturday. I will be traveling with Rustam and Alyosha from our team. We will be making some recordings in the Tuvan language. We will be recording some Good News stories, testimonies and some music.

Various people have been lined up to record, by our contact in Tuva, so we are not exactly sure which material we will be able to get completed. The Good news stories will definitely happen, but just exactly what testimonies and music we get done may depend on who is available next week.

Tuvan people do not live to a tight schedule, so we will have to be happy with who is available at the time. People are expecting us next week though.

When we were in Tuva in January the strongest group of people was in Ak Dovurak. Transportation issues may prevent us from getting there and we may have to do all of our recording in the capital city. Please remember us in your supplications next week so that we may have good success and be able to record the best material possible.

The above video is a song in the Tuvan language. It was just taken on my pocket camera. It's not an example of the quality of recordings that will be done! They will all be audio and recorded on professional equipment. Alyosha is experienced at recording. My job will be to get people "in the mood" and talking. I'm the social networker and will not be doing much of the technical stuff.

We will be back on Saturday 22nd, so things may be a bit quiet on the blog for a week. Melody and Abigail will not be coming, not because of the weather (it will be above zero during the day next week), but because the recordings will need silence in the room, and Abigail is not yet capable of such boredom!
