Mass herbicide part 2


You may remember reading some months ago my turmoil at many of the tall trees in the adjacent courtyard being cut off half way up. A friend back in Australia told me this is a method called pollarding.
Anyway, those barren trunks have sprung forth with new branches. We noticed in a street we were walking down one time, that a new shorter tree does form after a few years, with strong branches. They will never grow as tall as they once were, but then there will not be tall branches to fall off in storms either.
