"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."- St. Peter. "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." - Jesus.

Central Market

Yesterday we visited the central market. The streets around the edge of the market are lined with clothes stalls. The buildings themselves have not changed since Soviet times. At certain moments I could have sworn I was back in time in the Soviet Union.

Is this the same market where Mel snickered while I stood feeling this wonderful material beside a sign in Russian that said "do not touch"? She only translated when she got over the giggles.

No that was here at Karla Marksa. That market is gone now. This is the big market downtown. It is bigger now as a result of the one here closing.
