The only thing better than the first day of snow

The only thing better than the first full day of snow, is the next day when the sun shines. There's nothing like a bright blue sky and brilliant white snow and crisp cool air. It really is a wonderful feeling. Aussies have to pay big money for what we have just outside our door.

We couldn't miss the opportunity to get out and play in the snow this morning. The crisp -5 air was just a little cool for the snow to melt. So unfortunately it was not great weather for making a snow man, or in Russian a "sneznoe baba"- a snow grandma. But it was great weather for sledding.

We didn't feel like taking the pram out in the snow. Yesterday the wheels got stuck. We will need to buy a sled for PJ to sit on. So we decided to sit PJ in the yellow tub that is the toy box. Abigail said that everyone would laugh at us!  And she was right! People thought it was so cute and stopped to chat with us. One couple joked that they wanted to know how much we were selling him for. (This is how people sell puppies at the market. There are endless comparisons between puppies and babies. :).  )
