"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."- St. Peter. "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." - Jesus.

Eight years of wedded bliss

These shots were taken on my walk to class yesterday. The sun was out, which is not often enough in Autumn. The leaves are all but gone now, so Winter is impending.

Today Melody and I celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary. We were happy to find a babysitter for the evening. Our evening was nice and included a restaurant, walk and discovery of a new (to us) coffee shop.

Melody commented that we made it pass the infamous "seven year itch."  Truthfully, for us, there was no itch. Why?  I think it's because we always try to forgive as quickly as possible and most of our fights last no longer than an hour. We are happy and content and enjoying our shared sense of purpose in life. There are many adventures that await us together. I love you Melody.
