"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."- St. Peter. "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." - Jesus.

Not snow again!

Spring actually came early this year. The snow began to melt at the beginning of March. We have had a number of days up around 10 degrees and sunny, and then other days around 0 and overcast. But this transition period is dragging on far too long for me now. Throughout March we had two cold snaps where daytime temperatures dropped back below zero and we had snow. (Night time temperatures have remained below zero for all of Spring so far.)

But we are into April now, and I have really been hoping that night time temperatures would get above zero and that we could have some consistent +10 weather with the odd 15 or 18 degree day. But no, the snow has come again, and we have day time temperatures of 0 and -3 forecast over the next week. I am so tired of the snow and cold weather!

I think the painfully slow approach of spring and summer is one of the hardest things about living in northern climes. I remember looking at the tiny new pale green leaves on the trees in May in St Petersburg and thinking "hurry UP, you only have until September!!"
