Nenets vote


I found this picture on line at theage.com.au. The article was more about the Russian presidential election than the Nenets. Still it's a fascinating picture. This Nenets man is voting in the presidential election that will be held on Sunday March second. I wonder if it is a satellite fax machine.
The United Russia party are widely expected to win. The leading candidate is Dmitry Medvedev, who if he wins will take over as president in May. Vladimir Putin is likely to stay in politics, probably as Prime Minister of the Duma.
