Tuva Day 2

Our second day in Tuva involved meetings. We discussed Tuvan language recordings in Kyzyl. The men in the photo are Sasha, Tim, Rustam, Tom and Jim.


Then we went down to the airport and did some research about flights into remote communities. Currently there are flights into four remote communities in the eastern forest, that are not accessible by road. These flights often do not stick to schedule. Some other communities in Tuva have roads, but the roads are very difficult to drive on. A 350km trip can take 10 hours or longer.
