Russian Orthodox culture takes specific note of the 33rd birthday, as 33 is the age Jesus was crucified. So it is a common question at someone's 33rd birthday to ask: Have you accomplished something important in life? I maintain the adage: "When I am weak HE is strong." So I do not take pride in my own accomplishments, but I can be thankful that I am well on the path to realising my dreams at the age of 33.
