The art of fine Turkish delivery

Apparently the art of handweaving rugs is starting to disappear. Today we visited a rug weaving school near the modern city of Selcuk (and the ancient city of Ephesus). The school is 49% funded by the Turkish government and 51% funded by a local co-op. We saw silk being made. It is made out of cocoons from caterpillars that chew on the mulberry leaf. The rugs are meticulously hand weaved, sometimes mixed with sheep's wool or lamb's wool. There were many beautiful rugs and they were all really expensive. The salesman assured me that they delivered free of charge to ANYWHERE in the world. Anywhere, I asked.... Anywhere? How about to the tundra.....? We'll see. Anyway, I was just looking.
