"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."- St. Peter. "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." - Jesus.

September means...

It's September and that means a few things on the Prairies. Summer is finished. There has been some cool weather so far, followed by a warmer Indian Summer. September is harvest time for farmers. When you don't live in the city you learn plenty of things about farming. My vocabulary has been increasing with words such as "swathing", a preliminary process in the harvest process. The farmers we know are very, very busy, working up to 24 hour shifts at times to get their crops in before the frost hits, any time. It's always a relief for the farmers when they get their crops in.
September also means migration for the birds. If the crop is in then it's not a bad thing when the geese are in the fields, but if not then it is a huge annoyance when the geese start eating the crop. Still, for the city boy, it's really beautiful to watch all the migrating birds. Again, I could take much better shots, if only I had more optical zoom.
