"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."- St. Peter. "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." - Jesus.

Ded Moroz and Snegurochka

Today we went as a family into town. We met up with Kostya, Lena and their little girl Anya for a kids spectacular. The little kids were greeted by Ded Moroz (Grandfather Frost) and Snegurocka (the Snow Maiden), before the main event. Russians love their fairy tales and rhymes. Mothers recite them by heart to their children from a very early age (perhaps even at birth?). So when Snegurochka led the kids through a popular nursery rhyme, they all seemed to know it by heart. Abigail was a trifle overwhelmed, because it was very unfamiliar to her, and there were so many kids who were very confident with the proceedings.
