Good friends of ours live down in Yorkton. Years ago Melody was in a drama group called Snow Creek. She made friends with Christine there. Christine married Chris. Scott was another friend from Snow Creek. He married Sharlene. Scott has been working in radio for years, he took a job at "The Rock 98 Five" in Yorkton, as their on-air manager. A couple years later Chris and Christine moved to Yorkton too. Both families are very settled there now.
Four years ago we went and stayed with Chris and Christine and had a fun time. They have two kids, a girl (7) and a boy (2), just the same as our two kids. It was fun to spend time with them again, and catch up with Scott and Sharlene too. We had lots of barbecues, played under the sprinkler with the kids, threw the (wet) football.
Aside from just catching up with our friends, I was able to give an interview on the radio. It's available to listen to on soundcloud, but I won't be posting the link here. So you will have to email me to ask for it. (Just check my Pasha Siberian profile on this page.) We were also able to present to some couples on Wednesday evening about our work.
Sunday afternoon Rock 98 Five hosted a "party in the park". There was a bunch of local talent, musicians and dancers. One of the acts was a dance group of Ukrainian dancers. (There were many Ukrainian people who settled the prairies in the early 1900s.)
The group were quite good dancers too.
