Another windmill!
Ok, so there is a reason for this strange construction. The little building on the top rotates on the building on the bottom so the windmill can be turned into the wind. I consider this explanation to be partly functional and partly cultural.

In war time supplies were low, so shoes were made out of paper. Rubber linings were worn over the top.
The "K" company is one of the biggest supermarket retailers in Finland today. It simply stands for "keskus" which means "centre".
In war time, coffee supplies were also very expensive. So malt alternatives were developed. I guess this means that milo was also developed during war time. And milo is one of my favourite drinks.... It has been argued that war time stimulates a lot of creativity. Still, who needs change right? Peace is better. (And that is not tongue in cheek.)

It all looks so interesting. I hope it is relaxing for you all and that you are feeling refreshed and revived. We love the Moomintroll children's books - written in Finland and so evocative of the coutnryside there.
