The woodpeckers may sit in one spot in the tree, but some of the smaller birds are much harder to catch! The zoom lens and manual focus did make it easier to shoot the woodpecker than in the past.
These purple flowers are always the first to appear in the forest. They shoot up so quickly. I didn't see any on Tuesday, and suddenly on Wednesday there they were!
The yellow flowers come in second, there were only a handful that I could see.

The flowers are lovely and must be a delight to see after winter.
It is wonderful to observe how the woodpeckers are camourflaged apart from the red shade. A lovely photo of Abigail.
