All of the other metro stations have many underground kiosks for shopping, selling everything from DVDs to student text books to groceries to opera tickets. The new station does not have any space provided at all for this. Above ground things are pretty quiet too. There was no shopping to be seen. There are many residential buildings there and bright shiny new residential buildings going up.
Close by was a beautiful park. The most beautiful I have found in Novosibirsk. The other parks are all neatly organised with wide concrete paths and many statues. This was entirely different. It was a little forest in the city. What joy. The autumn leaves were gorgeous. At this time of year as the weather cools down, there were not too many people around either.

So I took Melody back there again today with Abigail. Abigail had a grand time and walked for about half an hour.
If you would like to see this have a look at her blog: Abigail's spot
While you are at it, why not take another look at my side blog: In One Ear
Below is the bright and shiny new Metro station. It is called Beroshovaya Rosha. It is named aptly for the nearby oasis- "Birch Coppice."
