"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."- St. Peter. "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." - Jesus.

Ethno-sports day

Michil, one of our new friends, and also an Evenki guy sent us a text message to say that their dance group was performing at the opening ceremony for an ethnic sports day. It is quite a tip of the hat to "Aihal" that they were chosen to do this dance, as there are other such groups in the city. Like true performers they complained afterwards that it was not their best performance. I think they felt a bit thrown off as they are used to performing on a stage.
The day was to open an "ethno-sports" centre. There are plenty of activities for families and kids to try their hands at different sports. Most of the sports however have nothing to do with Siberian cultures. One of them did, a box jumping game. Unfortunately there is no photo here to back that up.

Aihal performing again.

Their climax, Vika is tossed in the air.

Michil is certainly enjoying himself.

Abigail, showing off her dancing skills for Dunya.

Abigail throwing the basketball...

and rugby ball,
