We have arrived in Russia, in some ways very slowly. Our plane arrived after midnight on Thursday. We are currently staying in the home of our team mates, in a village outside of the city. It's a village where people have lived a long time in tiny homes. But there is a new generation of people building big homes here (although they actually aren't very big by western standards).
Apart from registering our visas and a bit of grocery shopping, we have actually been spending the first few days out in the village. It's quite different from our life in Krasnoyarsk.
The good news is that we have contacted our old land lady and found out that we can return to live in our old apartment! This is fantastic news for us. It means we will feel like we are going home, and this will help all of us, especially Abigail to settle in much faster. We are very thankful for this. The drawback is that we have to wait until May 20th to move in. So that's another 10 days of waiting. But the good part of this is that we get to spend more time with our team mates in their home, which is good for team bonding.

Our team mates have gone to another city for a few days, so we are having a very quiet time at the moment. This is also a good thing as we have been waiting on the Lord again as we prepare to head back into ministry.

Wow, this house looks very comfortable, if somewhat lacking in a garden :-) Village life must be very interesting, not many outsiders would get to experience it, I imagine. Glad to see you have arrived safely, have an opportunity to rest and get your bearings (I see that spring is still a little way off...) and it is really great news about being able to have your apartment back.
We had this happen to us once as well were we were able to move back into our old home. It was one of the sweetest gifts from our father to our children as they felt exactly like to said that they were 'moving back home' which diminished that transition for them. So happy for you guys!
