City of fountains

Krasnoyarsk is known as the city of fountains. The many fountains in the city were actually built during the time that Alexander Lebed (if anyone can remember that he was once Boris Yeltsin's right hand man) was the governor of the Kranoyarsk territory.

I remember Alexander Lebed. He helped negotiate the end of the First Chechen War and it is a great pity that he is no longer around to work out the end of the Second War - although I suspect that would not have been allowed which is why it is so convenient for some that he was killed in a helicopter crash.
